The challenge
Setting prices in consumer goods without seeing the market is deciding blind. Competitor prices arrived as partial snapshots, gathered by hand and stale the moment they were read. Every decision was made with a fraction of the information and always behind the market.
The project built
We built a price and presence observatory of their own. It collects the main national chains every day and brings everything together in one place, under the group's control. It records what each reference costs in each chain, and whether it is still in the assortment or gone. You can see where every figure comes from.
The result
Thousands of references observed every day across the main national chains, with presence in the assortment recorded next to the price. Every morning the group decides with the previous day's market in front of it, store by store. What used to be manual, on-and-off checks became a daily working tool.
From engagement to product
Lineal came out of this project and is a product of our own today: the price and presence observatory over the chains of the national market. It is contracted with the market observation already in place and configured with each company's own assortment and chains. The platform behind this case is the same one we deliver today.
